
What is the Voice Project?
The Voice Project was set up to help Derbyshire's frontline voluntary and community (VCS) organisations understand more about the Derbyshire Partnership Forum and the Local Area Agreement.
The Voice Project ran from June 2008 - May 2011 and has now ended.

Making a Difference - Derbyshire VCS Research report
In its final few months, the Voice Project commissioned a piece of research by Sheffield Hallam University to evidence the range and scope of voluntary and community groups in Derbyshire.

The project did not cover the Derby City because the city has a different Local Strategic Partnership and a different Local Area Agreement. If you would like to find out more about how it all works in Derby City please contact Community Action Derby
Voice Project activities The Voice for the VCS project supported organisations in a number of ways:
- By keeping them informed about the LAA via the VCS LAA Bulletin
- by offering training to explain what the changes mean within a district or the county
- by working with public sector partners to improve two way understanding and partnership working
- by keeping this website up to date with papers from meetings groups might want to know more about
- by organising special eventsto raise awareness of particular issues which might affect the VCS
- by providing a point of contact for any organisation wanting to know more about Local Area Agreements or Local Strategic Partnerships
